My name is Kevin Meany and I am a web designer based out of Louisville, KY. I am a 17 year old high school senior and spend most of my time with my friends, listening to music, and working with the computer.
I have been designing for about 3 years now and I learned all of it without any formal classes. I started out just wanting to make forum signatures and that lead into learning HTML. After I realized how much I liked it I learned XHTML, CSS, and PHP. Originally "OnlineGFX" was going to be a tutorial website for people who wanted to learn what I had learned. After a few months I decided to shut it down and focus more on perfecting my skills. The re-release of the site is to set up a design portfolio for me to show off my work.
Primarliy I do computer based art but I still enjoy working with other forms of art. I attempt photography, drawing, and ceramics but I am not very talented in these fields. My drawing skills transfer over to the design process and help me sketch out how the web site I am working on is going to look. Every site I design starts out on paper and is then rendered on the computer, after that it is coded and configured to what the client wants.
After high school I plan to go to the University of Louisville and work towards a degree in graphic design and marketing. From there I am not exactly sure where I am headed, I know for sure I will continue to do what I love and design.
